As a search industry veteran, Bob has worked extensively with Boards, Search Committees, business owners and CEOs, helping them hire leaders to take their organizations to the next level. Bob’s search experience includes working in nearly every industry—from nonprofit and healthcare organizations to startups and large public companies.
He spent his early years in executive search supporting the information technology buildup and internet explosion. He then co-founded KeyStone Search, a boutique executive search firm which was an early proponent of focusing on core values and culture fit in the recruitment process.
Bob studied speech communications at the University of Minnesota and filmmaking at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which led to his first career as a videographer in corporate communications and training. Bob is active in the nonprofit and business community and is currently on the Boards of The Daniel Group and Currie State Bank.
Bob and his wife Angela live in Edina with Buster, their West Highland Terrier, and are the proud parents of Nathan Surprenant who can be seen on-stage in Twin Cities theater productions. In his spare time Bob enjoys cycling, swimming, golfing and summer weekends at the lake.
